Gwalior
The historic city Gwalior is situated in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh on the main New Delhi-Mumbai and New Delhi-Chennai rail route. About 321 km from the national capital New Delhi, Gwalior is an important city of Madhya Pradesh in India. Gwalior is an old city, known for its old and massive forts. The legend says, Gwalior derives its name from a great sage Gwalipa who cured a chief of the Kachwaha clan suffering from leprosy. Today, Gwalior is one of the most developed cities of India with factories producing cotton, yarn, paint, ceramics, chemicals, and leather products. The city is also famous for many esteemed educational institutions.
Orchha

is a town in Tikamgarh district of Madhya Pradesh Orchha means 'hidden
place' and being true to its name, the place lies amidst scrubby dhak
woods. Orchha was founded in the 16th c by the Bundela chief Rudra Pratap
who became the first Raja of Orchha. The town was the seat of a former
princely state of central India in the Bundelkhand region
Khajuraho
The central region abounds in natural wealth. The Khajuraho temples
in Central India attract tourists from all over the world. These temples
are outstanding illustrations of the well developed Indo Aryan Nagara style
of temple architecture. Khajuraho Temples.The Chandella rulers of Central
India built several temples at Khajuraho. About 30 of them survive today,
and are known primarily for the erotic sculpture covering the exterior walls.
Varanasi

is major Hindu piligrimage center. The Ganges itself is considered to be
a river of great significance in the Hindu religion and there are several
temple towns along its path. Varanasi - The most celebrated pilgrimage site
in India The Vishwanath temple in Benares is the goal of the thousands of
pilgrims that visit this ancient pilgrimage site. The river Ganges dominates
the life of the city. Bathing in the river is a daily act of a pilgrim.
Varanasi has many ghats, these ghats rich in love and legend, over 5kms.
in length. only few ghats are used for cremation , dead bodies are burnt
and multitudes bathe in the sacred stream. Death in Varanasi, is way of
life, to die here is a liberation from round of samsara (the unceasing cycle
of life, death and rebirth).
